Tie Dye and Puppies -- The Best Things to Come Out of Quarantine

Quarantine. Just typing that word makes my skin crawl. Although I could write a whole blog post about all of the negatives of being in isolation for months, I’m going to take a turn down Positivity Avenue! So what good could have possibly come from removing ourselves from the outside world? TIE DYE and PUPPIES of course!!
We got our golden retriever puppy Frank on March 15, 2020, the day before our family went on lockdown. Ok, so it may not have been the smartest idea to get a pup when there was a paper towel shortage (puppy pee is no joke), but he’s been such a fun distraction for the kids. Frank’s whole world is going to be turned upside down when the kids are back in school, Greg is no longer working from home, and life has returned to normal. Poor thing! For now, we are just spoiling this fluff ball with all the time, love, and attention we can!
Puppies are cute, but so is this tie dye trend!! I was skeptical in the beginning, not being one to really wear bright colored clothing, but I think everyone needs a couple of tie dye staples in their closet. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite finds below…
· This tie die long john set is super comfy and such a steal! For $24.99 this Amazon find is perfect for lounging around the house, pandemic or not! I ordered an XS and found that the bottoms are true long john bottoms – AKA: these thermal pants have a low falling crotch. The pictures on the Amazon site paint a different story, so just a heads up. I’m not bothered by the fit though…the looser the better these days!

Island Dye Shop makes beautiful tie dye pieces and then customizes your embroidery details around the neckline (or wherever you would like it placed). · The Univeral Threads brand at Target is my go-to when it comes to t-shirts. I just discovered that they have an $8.00 tie dye tee that I can’t wait to get my hands on! This brand also makes a tie dye dress and tie dye sweatshirt…JACKPOT!!
· Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for? Need a fun outdoor activity to keep the kids busy this summer? You can’t go wrong with a tie dye kit! Just remember…things can get messy! Wear old clothes that you won’t mind being stained, protect your manicure with plastic/rubber gloves, and GET ON THE GRASS!!
· I am such a HUGE fan of Spiritual Gangster and now that Mia is finally big enough to wear their kids’ sizes, you can bet that her closet will be donning some SG apparel too! During one of my recent on-line shopping sales hunts, I found the cutest hooded tie dye sweatshirt dress for her.
